Frequently asked questions:

Everything you need to know about window film for your home.  The benefits of mirror film, privacy film and reflective film.

1. Can you see through the mirror tint?
In summary, it is always possible to see through one side of reflective window film; which side is entirely dependent on the light. If it's brighter outside, then you will be able to see through the film from the inside out.

2. How long does mirror film last?
Under the right conditions, window film can last for 20 years or more. This longevity depends upon a number of factors. These include the condition of the window on which the film has been placed, the quality of the materials used, the directional position that the windows are facing, and the local climate.

3. Can you see through a one-way mirror film at night?
One-way mirror tint works when light on the outside of the tint is brighter than the light inside. Put differently, it works when the sun is up. This also means that, at night time, the film does not provide the same level of privacy. We still recommended using blinds and curtains at night time.

4. Does privacy film make the room dark?
All the effects of Window Film depends on outside Light Levels.

On the other hand, if you require more privacy but don't need as much natural light then you may choose a higher level of opacity. In either case, the application of window film will not make your rooms drastically darker unless you choose an extremely high level of opacity.

5. Does mirror tint go on inside or outside?
Home window tinting is fitted to the inside of the property to protect them from the elements. In the past, exterior window films were overlooked because of the perception of poor durability and performance.
